Usability testing is an important part of the UX process as that define if your product is a success or a failiure but most of the companies avoid doing it to cut down some cost. This can be done in minimal budget without hiring or booking a big lab. Below are minimum things required for usability testing.

People required for testing: Observers (Developers, UX and UI resources), Moderator and users (Depending on persona, hire people — No in house team to avoid any kind of bias)

Things Required: Devices, Two camera (One to focus on screen and other on user face, Notepads & Pen(For moderator and observers), Usability testing documents (Questions, Task and sheet to input the data — So we don’t miss out any important information), Location (it can be a room or a lab set up)

Compensation: Depending on company budget you can plan the compensation and how many participants can are required to complete test also depending on what you want to test; e.g. core loop actions, social actions, crucial aspects like on-boarding etc.

Please add on if i miss something also share your views.
